Approach & Philosophy
I am a passionate advocate for empowering people through a collaborative and strengths-based philosophy. I believe therapy should be a supportive and non-judgmental space where individuals can feel safe to be themselves. My style is warm, honest, and compassionate — focused on helping you tap into your own strengths and move toward meaningful change, rather than trying to “fix” you. My approach to therapy is grounded in humanistic values and an anti-oppressive lens. I see you as a whole person, shaped by your experiences, culture, and context — not a set of problems to solve.
I use evidence-based practices like Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and attachment-based therapy. Sessions are tailored to fit each person's needs and goals – whether you are looking for skills to strengthen your emotional regulation, process past experiences, engage in offense-specific treatment for probation, or simply need a trusted person to talk to.
While I specialize in working with teens and emerging adults, I welcome clients of all ages and backgrounds navigating life’s challenges — whether that’s anxiety, depression, trauma, identity exploration, big life transitions, or simply figuring things out.
My Background & Qualifications
I got into social work because I believe young people deserve to be heard, supported, and taken seriously — especially when the systems around them haven’t always done that. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside teens and emerging adults during some of their hardest and most transformative moments.
Since 2015, I’ve worked with young people from many different backgrounds — including those involved with the juvenile justice or child welfare systems, and those who aren’t. I’ve supported clients in residential care, corrections, and outpatient settings, and I bring that experience into every session with empathy and zero judgment.
I am especially passionate about working with emerging adults who have experienced justice system involvement and are working towards reintegrating successfully back into the community.
I received my Master’s in Social Work with a focus on children, youth, and families from Portland State University and I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Certified Clinical Sexual Offense Therapist practicing in Oregon.
I am dedicated to fostering a space where all individuals feel respected and valued. I welcome and celebrate diversity in all its forms, including but not limited to race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, age, disability, and socioeconomic status.
